Curiosity...a most important word I find, but what does it mean to live a life that is curious?
Curiosity is by definition " a strong desire to know or learn something." But I don't think a curious person is one that sits in the library until dawn reading the encyclopedia. No, curiosity is about recognizing the little things in life and being drawn in to think deeper. It's about finding the excitement in both the grand and mundane experiences that we encounter everyday. When we practice seeing things in this way, we begin to see more and more. We become more present in the current moment, simply observing without judgement or expectations.
Curiosity lends itself to help us feel more alive and appreciative of adventures, connections, and lessons in life. One of the best ways to increase your quality of life is to take everyday tasks and enliven them with a sense of curiosity. It's a simple change in mindset that will allow you to feel the potential of life at all times. An opportunity can exist just about anywhere and at any time, but when we feeling curious regularly we ignite the ability to discover fortune.
Life is never about being comfortable. It's about wondering what else is out there. It's about wanting to be the best version of yourself. Sometimes you don't know exactly which trail will lead to the top of the mountain. However you'll never find out if you don't first have the desire to take a hike. Reawaken your curiosity to shift your perspective and realize the vivacious energy that constantly surrounds us.
