My style has always evolved over time, but I've noticed that my look also adapts to different places. If you're anything like me, then packing for a trip is a headache and a half. I have to style complete outfits to fold into my suitcase or else I'll manage to overpack my entire wardrobe. On my recent getaway into the sunshine of Costa Rica, I brought this versatile ensemble perfect for a magnificent sunset on the beach. Because of placement of the country near earth's equator, my daytime look only lended itself to a bikini and a paper thin cover up. However, once the sun started to lower behind the lush palms, the beach's nightlife began to blossom. As I walked along the sandy shores at the golden hour I watched as people toasted beers at local beach bars, picked up a game at the volleyball nets, and ran full speed into the waves after their dogs. This look was essential for joining in on any of those fun activities on the beach at dusk. Relaxed, cool, while showing a little skin, I paired my favorite destroyed cut offs with a drapey blouse. I love the laid back surfer girl vibe that the choker and Tevas add to the outfit- totally on trend in a boho destination like Costa Rica. Plus, the shorts definitely came in handy on other days walking around town, browsing the artisan crafts during the day. When packing for a trip to the tropics, aim towards a more casual approach to your outfits. With sea salt wavy hair and sun kissed skin, there's no need to dress up for the night. It also helps to pick essential clothing pieces that you can incorporate into many different outfits.
