With the dawn of a new season, my pace has slowed. The weekends are spent lounging, sipping cups of coffee, and throwing a few vinyls on the vintage record player. While the classics like Fleetwood Mac and The Cranberries will always hold a place near and dear to my heart, I also love exploring the best in recently released albums. Allowing myself to fall into the rhythm of listening to a playlist on repeat lets me really establish modern classics to fit my current vibe. Lately I'm feeling a fusion of soul into contemporary indie music has really been fueling my creativity. Inspired by taking the time to kick back and enjoy my surroundings, I've curated a playlist on Spotify called Oktoberfest to do just that (no it's not German folk music)! You'll find that I've sorted through the new releases and revisited some older ones to capture a hearful but laid back alternative folk essence.
Whether your drink of choice is an autumn spiced beer or a bold cup o' joe, grab a mug to celebrate, give this tuneage a serious listen, and hear how the feels are real.
